· Discuss Echo and Narcissus
· Present modern myths (3-5 volunteers), collected.
· Read from Metamorphoses background page 9 independently; annotated. Discuss.
· Discussed “foreshadowing” – write definition at the top of the page
· Read "Metamorphoses" as a class, looking for examples of foreshadowing.
· Issues (with partner) on page 15. Make chart on separate sheet of paper with modern day issues brought up in the myth (youth and age, independence, technology, talent – given, come up with at least two more of your own) and examples of where they are in the myth with LINE NUMBERS.
· Read Williams poem, pg. 14, and answer 3-7. Finish for homework.
